The Big White Snowboard Cross events have 2 components - FIS for the more competitive athletes earning FIS points, and Open Age Categories: 14 and under | 15 to 18 | 19 and over (male/female).
The Open Age Category is run in a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) format, which means all athletes get at least 2 runs in the Heat format of Snowboard Cross. It is an excellent format to gain experience in SBX. Many BC Athletes on the Provincial and National Teams started with this format within our Provincial Series Events!
